Cozy sipping

Cloudy and rainy days are sprinkling in between the summer heat, pumpkin spice has made its way into coffee shops, and fall decor is everywhere. There is something so comforting about this seasonal change, a sense of slowing down and getting cozy, and for me fall is all about creating cocktails that feel cozy but unexpected.

This is where Embered Spice Affair came together.

The Inspiration: All the fall feels, warmth, coziness, spice, smoke.

The Indian twist: Turmeric, a warm healing spice with a subtle golden hue that looks like fall.

Recipe:

Turmeric Vanilla Cream:

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Optional: Pinch of cardamom

Cocktail:

2 oz Vodka

1 oz Kahlua

Method:

  1. Prepare turmeric vanilla cream by blending together ingredients in a frothing blender or with a handheld frother.

  2. Build the base cocktail in a heat safe glass if using bruleè technique

  3. Slowly pour cream over the cocktail

  4. Sprinkle sugar on top of the cream

  5. Carefully torch sugar until bubbling

Cheers!
